OPPORTUNITIES: The EU is looking for young graduates
Are you a recent graduate with an excellent skill set? Do you prosper in an international work environment? Are you motivated to help shape the future of Europe?
The EU institutions offer the opportunity to work on some of the most pressing challenges we face as a society. We are currently looking for talented graduates and young professionals to meet these challenges and to take on a broad range of tasks in formulating and delivering EU policies, and managing resources. We require resourcefulness and resilience but we also provide opportunities to make a significantly positive impact on Europe.
Working for the EU means being part of one of the most impressive integration projects of our time. You will be part of diverse teams dealing with topical issues such as fighting climate change, managing migration, countering terrorism or boosting economic growth and creating jobs. Protecting personal data, ensuring food safety, securing passenger rights when traveling, enabling sustainable technology and preserving nature are just a few of the wide range of topics we are working on. To find out more about what the EU does for its citizens, please visit the website EUandme.
Respect for cultural diversity and promotion of equal opportunities are founding principles of the EU and the European Personnel Selection Office endeavours to apply equal opportunities, treatment and access to all candidates. You can find out more about our equal opportunities policy and how to request special adjustments for selection tests on our dedicated page.
New members of staff start their career in Brussels or Luxembourg. There are some opportunities to seek to work in locations across Europe and around the world.
Don’t miss this fantastic career opportunity – registration opens on 23 May 2019 until 25 June 2019.
Do you have what it takes?
To apply, you need a university degree of at least 3 years in any field, knowledge of 2 EU languages and EU citizenship. Students in their final year of studies can also apply if they receive their diploma by 31 July 2019.
Before you apply, it’s important to think carefully about whether an EU career is the right choice for you. The “EU Career, My Career?” questionnaire and the self-assessment test are able to give you a realistic idea of whether you are likely to meet the standards required to succeed.
Please be aware that it is not enough to obtain pass marks for the tests. Only the very top scorers pass to the next stage of the selection procedure.
