The large-scale event “VMU Connections” at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU), now held for the second time, this year attracted a wide range of participants – alongside university students, a significant number of high school students joined, eager to learn about study opportunities and gain insights into the realities of the job market.

About 30 companies and organizations from various sectors – ranging from business and technology to agriculture and the public sector – participated in the career fair. During the event, attendees had the opportunity to learn about the latest labor market trends, speak with industry specialists, explore internship, job, and volunteer opportunities, and some students even took part in live job interviews.

A special highlight was the interactive game held during the fair. Throughout the event, participants earned stickers by answering questions posed by company or organization representatives or by completing tasks they provided. This encouraged students and high schoolers to actively engage, learn more about the participating organizations, and interact in meaningful ways. The collected stickers could later be exchanged for various VMU prizes.

The organizers are delighted that “VMU Connections: Career Day” once again became a place for meaningful networking, discussions, and planning for the future. The event successfully brought together the academic community, high school students, and labor market professionals, promoting an active first step for young people toward their careers.
